Hello

I'm Nicola Seabrook, Nutritional Therapist at the Suffolk Nutrition Clinic, which operates from the Woodbridge Complementary Health Centre. I have over 30 years experience working in nutrition and set up the clinic after graduating from the Institute for Optimum Nutrition in 2009. Prior to this  but had previously been practicing as a Dietitian within the NHS.

I am passionate about the role that nutrition can play in health and well-being, not least because of the improvements I've seen amongst the many patients I've had the pleasure of working with during my time in practice.

If you think that you too might benefit from nutritional therapy might help you then give me a call for a free 15 minute chat.

My Story

I have always been fascinated by the link between nutrition and the many conditions our society is suffering from today: from digestive disorders such as IBS to hormonal imbalances and our mental health.  This led me to pursue a career in dietetics  and after graduating with a Degree in Dietetics I practiced for 12 years as a Dietitian working in NHS hospitals and supporting three General Practices. In 2006 I decided to extend my academic qualifications and trained as a Nutritional Therapist at the Institute of Optimum Nutrition set up by Patrick Holford.  In 2009 I received a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy and set up the Suffolk Nutrition Clinic. I work as part of the team of health practitioners at Woodbridge Complementary Health Centre where I still see my clients.  It's a great place to work with some lovely therapists and good reception cover.

My consultations are an hour long and listening to clients is one of the most important parts of the consultation process. I appreciate that many of them have suffered for a long time before seeking nutritional help and telling me about their medical history is very necessary.

Many of my clients come with digestive issues but I also enjoy and have experience of helping people with their weight, skin disorders, fatigue, thyroid conditions and difficulties with sleep. I have had particular success addressing food intolerances and use an in-clinic food intolerance test. I can also arrange other tests through external laboratories.

I am registered with the British Association for Nutrition & Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and a member of CNHC ( Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council).
